Intermittent Effort, Intermittent Results

It was going good, until I skipped a day of my daily exercise and sauna routine. I went back to it the next day, however I had to stop again for a few days to help with my mom with some important errands. This is my 3rd consecutive day. I did not even bother to check my weight and BMI during the rest of the days that I skipped, as I am well aware that I may have gained back weight, or went back to the original weight when I restarted working out, or probably even more.

Wii Fit Plus - my BMI chart for almost one week

I'm definitely going back to my routine tomorrow, and this time around I may need some extra help.

On a good note, I found a game from my collection that made me sweat and actually shed those pounds and lower my BMI. None other than Wii Fit Plus. I've been playing both Wii Fit Plus and Exerbeat and the latter doesn't really contribute much in the weight loss I've been having for the past week.

You know that Body Test that the Wii Fit Plus has? It measures your center of gravity, your body mass index (BMI), and your weight, among other things. I run the test after playing Wii Fit Plus and I run it again after playing Exerbeat. I play them for equal amounts of time. I also tried playing them Wii Fit Plus first then Exerbeat and vice versa. Exerbeat has nice activities and exercises but most of them are cut into pieces, and you're forced to 'take a break' every time an activity ends. Sweating it out is not continuous and you don't really feel tired even after 30 minutes of actual Exerbeat game time. It also has this travelling around the world thing which shows up every after activity so that also adds up to your 'break time'. There are activities that are joined up together to form a longer 'round' but you don't get to choose them at the onset. You will have to unlock them by earning medals and coins while playing through the rest of the available ones.

I find that Wii Fit Plus helps me out with my goal more, so I actually stuck with it and changed from 30 minutes to 1 hour of Wii Fit Plus and from 30 minutes to now just 10-15 minutes of Exerbeat.

 Super Hoola Hoop

Basic Run

Rhythm Boxing

Free Step

So far I've been drowning myself in Super Hoola Hoop, Basic Run, Rhythm Boxing, and Free Step. At least 10-20 minutes of each, and if I haven't completed my 1-hour per day requirement, I try to play the other activities.

Tomorrow I will need to step up and pick up the pace so that I can make up for the days I missed on exercising. I'll finally be using the foot extensions for the Wii Balance Board as well, to provide more challenge to the activities.
